This can mean that there are fewer students in your program, which will give you a better instructor-to-student ratio. This can be beneficial for you if you want to have a chance to ask plenty of questions. You may find that you get more out of the program in the winter if you have fewer peers.
Con: Visibility Challenges
You may experience some visibility challenges when you're flying over the snowy ground in the winter. When the earth below you is blanketed in white, you may have trouble assessing your altitude because it's difficult to clearly see the landmarks below. This issue can be a blessing in disguise, though, as you'll learn to better rely on your instruments instead of visual cues.
