Consider Starting Slow
Some people think it's a good idea to enroll in multiple classes when you're attending online school. After all, as someone who serves in the military, you are probably quite disciplined, so you might think that you can handle the extra workload. Plus, you might want to work toward earning your degree as soon as possible. However, it's not a bad idea to start out slowly. It might have been a little while since you have been in school since you might have been focused on your military career from the time you graduated high school. Because of this, you might be out of the habit of studying and attending school, and you might have little to no experience with online schooling. Plus, you're probably busy with all of the stresses of military life, and you might try to have a social life when you get a chance, too. Because of all of these things, you should consider starting out by taking just one or two classes. You can always opt to take more classes in a future semester if you want to, but starting out slow can be a good choice.
Ask Someone Else to Attend School With You
You might have built some close, strong relationships with some of your fellow service members in the time you have served in the Armed Forces. It's not a bad idea to ask one of them if they are interested in attending school with you. They could also potentially benefit from gaining this education, and you might have a "study buddy," so the two of you can help one another and hold one another accountable in your studies.
Go Elsewhere to Study
One of the main perks of online schooling is the fact that you can take your classes and do your work from the barracks. Sometimes, you might find this is the best place for you to whip out your laptop and work on your schoolwork. However, you might want to visit other locations on the military installation to work, such as the business center or library. If possible, you may even want to head to restaurants or coffee shops that are off of the military installation just to shake things up.
